I want to respond to my friend Ian, who commented on a question I - TopicsExpress

I want to respond to my friend Ian, who commented on a question I posted today. Yes, my questions are meant to be provocative. The reason I post these is very personal. The past 20 months have been a journey; a journey of tragedy and enlightenment, it has brought the deepest pain, exposed the demons and the joys and the epiphany of life. The first 12 months were brutal and then came true personal pain. Then on March 28th, I experienced a level of pain that was life altering. This brought forth my first epiphany - it was time to fix some stuff, big stuff! Then I began my journey to figure out and answer “my” questions. These questions require self examination and really examining oneself is tough stuff. The pain is in exploring the question, peeling away the layers of the onion to find the real answer. I have spent a lot of time and I have had great people help me find the questions so I can explore them to find the answer. I have done things I never considered. I have found answers to questions that I didn’t know needed to be asked. Admitted to faults and imperfections, identified the demons, addressed the pain and found freedom. I discovered my true blessings and thanked God for them. I am answering Ian and others in this public way because I want to share this journey and this journey continues. Today was another one of those days when I found the answer to another question that needed to be asked. Now, I have to begin the project of completing the actions required by the answer. So Ian, the questions are meant to be uncomfortable because thinking about them requires an introspection of self, examination of who we are and sometimes a fun look at life. My goal is to help others find the questions they need to answer so they can get to a better place. I hope my project helps someone and yes Ian, I will share some answers!
