I want to say thank you tonight to Cheatham County. We at the fair grounds work very hard to make everyone happy. Things happen beyond our control. We are going to have ups and downs. We are all volunteers and we dont make any profit on our fair. Anyone in the county can join or just be a volunteer and help. We have the power to make it better, but we need the community involved. This is your county just as much as mine. there is always a need for improvements and ideas have been expressed and talked about. We invite anyone to join. Luckily the rain didnt wash us out. there was a pretty good turnout tonight and I saw a lot of smiling faces. We can use some electricians and framers and farmers and painters and just about any trade you can think of we can use . If you are a community group come and help and lets put our thinking caps on and get ready to do it again next year. And if you saw some young boys and girls in yellow Jr. fair shirts they really worked hard this year to entertain your kids in the Little hands on the farm. They worked on empting trash cans and fed chickens and setup the garden and helped clean the cattle barn and get rid of wasp nests and then aslo passed out all the little goodies. Another fair member brought there own pony and donkey for the kids to see. Enough said thanks again the fair is over. Sorry we didnt make everyone happy but that will never happen.
