I want to say to all the wonderful people who have posted their prayers and best wishes - it is so heart-warming and uplifting! I know we tell ourselves we are ready for these kind of things to happen - but when they come - we realize we really arent! I dont apologize for it nor am I ashamed of it - but I was a Mamas boy! I am the oldest of 5 children. My Dad had to work long hours to support a family of 7. Since I was the oldest, Mom, depended on me a lot! Dad was away working often and I had to step-in and learn to do things to help my Mom keep the home-front going. My mother taught me many things - things that still to this day impact my life! One of the things my Mom did was teach me the virtues of my Dad! My Mom never criticized nor ever put my Dad down in front of us children! She always bragged on him and complimented him and told us what a great father he was! I know now - that neither of my parents were/are perfect! But they were good, God-fearing, hard-working - Christ-honoring folks! I will miss my Mom greatly - however - I rejoice that one day soon I well see her again! Pray for me - I am contemplating trying to preach the funeral myself! Being a Moms Boy - thats not going to be easy! However, there is something in me that wants to really do so! The Funeral will be on Thursday, at 2:00 PM at the Berry Free Will Baptist Church in Berry, AL. The viewing is from 12 till 2 and the funeral will begin at 2:00! If you are in the area, you are cordially invited to attend! Were going to have some great singing and a Celebration Service of her life! Were not going to have a down-in-the dumps - sad-sack service - but we are going to rejoice, have a good time, shed a few tears and not say Good-bye to Mom - but so-long for now! See you in a few short days!!!!! AND WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE!!!!!! Can I get a witness up in here tonight?
