I want to share a few things about what we are calling our Bed Ministry, at UpB4 The Son Charities. We have recently matched up dozens of families/individuals in need, with beds in good condition that were not being used. My friends at Teen Challenge let us know the girls in their program were sleeping on beds over 30 years old! We have now supplied them with a dozen replacements. We have NO funds to do this. NO truck and NO staff. Yet, it continues to happen through those willing to help, and to donate. Mark volunteered to rent a trailer, and drove his truck from Abq to Pueblo, CO. to pick up 4 beds! Terry heard of what we were doing, and donated $100 cash, which we gave to Mark to help with part of his expenses. Jerry & Sheri heard about us, and sent $250. We are a Pass Through Organization, which means no paid staff and very minimal expenses, so everything we receive passes through directly to those in need. Weve helped single moms, widows and grandmas with school supplies, food, transportation, child custody issues, counseling, prayer and more. Im amazed and humbled at all that is happening, and how every need seems to be met, shortly after we become aware of it. Thanks to ALL of you who have been regular financial supporters like Vince, Yvette, Chaplain Lynn and others. You ARE making a difference in the lives of those in need, and Im honored to be part of your good works.
