I want to share an experience with you this morning, it is one of those memories that kind of sticks with you as you realize that this was part of my journey that has brought me home. I remember my very first psychic reading with a famous medium named Irene Hughes. Now I was around 21 years old and very drawn to the world of spirit and trying to find my own place within the dynamics of this world I now live so comfortably in. I would read her weekly column every week in the news paper getting lost in my own thoughts of how wonderful it would be to sit with her one day. Then one morning as I was driving my dump truck I heard the announcement on the radio, coming up famous psychic Irene Hughes. There she was on the morning radio show, giving readings to callers and the djs and I just knew I had to see her for myself. She was known to give people winning numbers that they would play in the lotto and they would win. There were so many callers calling in validating her readings so I made myself an appointment. Now I couldnt go alone so I dragged my cousin Jerry with me and we both scheduled an appointment. This was not my first reading at all but it was my first reading with somebody famous. I was so nervous and she had this office in a high rise in the city of Chicago. I remember sitting outside of the door and then it was my turn to sit before her. When you walked in I remember the windows and she was a tiny little lady sitting behind a grand desk in a chair fit for a Queen and I was so nervous and afraid of what she might tell me. You must know that I hadnt realized fully yet that I too would be doing the same thing, but she was famous and a woman who not only did readings but predictions as well in a weekly column in the news paper. It was exciting and a bit scary but I loved every minute of that reading and it is one I will carry with me for a lifetime. I just want to remind you through my own experience that when you sit before a person who channels spirit just remember they are human too.
