I want to share my blessings of 2014. The first is how the Lord Jesus Christ comforted me every day during the adjustment period after Rich died. There were days that were tougher than others. Amelia and Avas birthdays were particular hard as Rich and I loved celebrating their special days. But, this year the hardest birthday was our little Jaydens 1st birthday. Oh how Rich would have loved to see him and celebrate that great milestone. But,Rich had sent Jayden an e-mail the day before he died (9/25/13) on a website to wish him a Happy Birthday that he received on May 25th. Our wedding anniversary on June 12th but my dear friend and sister in Christ Karen Edwards shared a meal with me and gave me a beautiful faith and love bracelet to remind me of the 37 yrs we shared. My Dad celebrated his 90th birthday on July 12th. It was a wonderful celebration of his life. But, Rich and I were excited about going to NC to celebrate with him and Rich was the only one missing around the celebration table. We celebrated Richs 60th birthday October 17th by laying to rest his remains in Union NJ. It was a celebration of his life...but I could not have made it through any of these days without the Lord and reminder of where Rich is and that he was in the place he longed to be...He had such a deep abiding faith. The Lord provided for all my needs. I was able to secure a part-time job at a nursing home a mile from home. Along with my full-time job with HOPE Bariatrics I have had my needs met. God has protected me now that I am alone in my home and help me feel safe. I pray nightly that the Lords protection will surround me. I have a new place to worship. I have been a part of Covenant Baptist Church since 1991 and they have ministered to my needs with friendship, fellowship and comfort. I have been blessed with solid biblical teaching through faithfulness of our Pastor Mark Edwards. I am being fed on a weekly basis. If I had to say one thing I miss about Rich not being here is our nightly spiritual talks. He was a phenomenal biblical preacher and teacher. But, my greatest blessing comes in my children Laura, Robyn and Tom.They are Rich and my legacy. I am so proud of how they handled the loss of their father. How much they loved him and I know how much they miss him. God has blessed me with 2 great son-in laws Dan Schrader and Jef Raunigk and my wonderful grandchildren whom I adore Amelia, Ava and Jayden. I love you and I make this promise Lord willing I will not be apart from you on Thanksgiving again! I will miss you tomorrow and I already feel my sadness of staying in Uniontown this year. I love you guys and will see you in December for the debut of Ava Riley in the Nutcracker. But, until then I wish you both a special day tomorrow. Hi to Matt and Rose and the children.
