I want to share the “behind the scene” story of my newest - TopicsExpress

I want to share the “behind the scene” story of my newest profile picture. I want to dedicate this story to Greg Cliff, semi-retired Creative Director from Hollywood, CA and I call him “my celebrity neighbor”. Greg: You need to put on a nice blouse for the picture. Nhi: Nope. I haven’t changed my style for 10 years. (Proof: same style tank top in different colors in most of my pictures for the past 10 years). Greg: Ok. You need to comb your hair. Nhi: Done. (I combed my hair with my ten fingers). Greg: Girl. Seriously, you need to use a comb, not your fingers. Nhi: You are the first man ever to tell me to comb hair. I didn’t comb my hair anyway. Greg: Here it is. He handed me his comb. Greg: Sit down, smile. Stand there, smile. He took 4 pictures of me and uploaded into his laptop. Nhi: What are you doing? Just email them to me. Greg: I am touching up your pictures. Nhi: I want to be naturally ugly. Tha xau tu nhien con hon dep nhan tao. Greg: You are not. Nhi: Ok, make sure that I do not look different than the real me. Thank you very much. Before I left his home, Greg came up with a conclusion “10 years with the same style tank top = single Nhi”. Hahaha. And he also reminded me to put on a nice blouse for pictures next time or … continue to be single or “e”. Within an hour, Greg emailed me my pictures and here is my lesson and learnt: I don’t need to learn to do make up and buy any make up. Just need to learn to photoshop me or have Greg to photoshop my pictures. What a great idea! I am very, very lucky to know Greg. He is my sweetest neighbor and he is the only one that puts up with me very well. I always took advantage of him honestly and seriously. He let me borrow his tools and garden equipment when I first moved into my house. He taught me to mow and trim my yard and how to operate these tools safely. His garage door was always opened on the weekend for me to use his tools to work on my house. Till one day, Greg “I do not expect you to knock on my door every 15 minutes all day long”. And Nhi “Greg, you told me to knock on your door anytime I need help and it is too late to reset the rule. Lucky enough, I haven’t wakened you up in the middle of the night if I was in danger.” I don’t know if there is any neighbor can put up with “insane and ridiculous me. Anyway, Greg will leave our “Madolin Village” soon to begin a new chapter in his life “travel in his fancy mobile home”. My neighbors and I will miss him a lot. He brings laughs, love and care to these two adjacent cul-de-sacs in Mandolin Village. I know that I will meet him at some national parks in the near future.
