I want to share with you something Im thankful for. Its a small thing. But one Ill always be thankful for. We had been up all night and the next day. Sitting in the same room. Watching the same clock. Waiting. Waiting for our first child to be born. She was still born. 10:39am. November 1, 2009. The nurse took her to the or. We waited again. The nurse brought her back in the room wrapped in a blanket, with a tiny crocheted hat and a tiny linen dress and a tiny bracelet. You see we were surprised when we left the house. We didnt bring anything with us. We just left. LoriAnn and I just cried. It meant so much to us. The nurse told us that there were ladies that made these dresses, hats, and bracelets for still born babies. To this very day I do not know who made those articles of clothing, but I am so very thankful for them. Whoever they are. We kept the hat and bracelet. She was buried in that little linen dress. They didnt have to do it, but Im so very thankful that they did. This thanksgiving remember to be thankful for the least little thing. They matter. God Bless you this Thanksgiving.
