I want to take a moment to thank Linda Shelar and Wild George Spann for recently offering their homes while Sylinda and I were stuck in the DFW airport after our flight from LaGuardia airport in New York. Our flight to Lubbock had been rescheduled due to the local storms, thus giving, or should I say, torturing us with a five hour layover in Dallas. As we pondered this dreaded event, we received calls from both Linda and George with offerings to have us in their homes for a respite from the rough travel. We were so appreciative but continued to hold out hope that something would come up, perhaps the weather would lift and an opportunity for an earlier flight would emerge. A chance finally did come, due to Sylindas constant monitoring of departures, as I sat in the bar moping over our situation, and we got to Lubbock by 11 pm. Thanks again Linda and George, and know that our home is open to you guys, and any of our friends, if your travels bring you through the Big Empty and the energy level has made it rough to continue on.
