I want to talk about being ANOINTED for a moment. When people tell me that I am “Anointed”, I usually say to God be ALL the Glory! I don’t say that to walk in false humility or to be super-spiritual, but to protect myself from pride and being puffed up. The Purpose of the Anointing is to remove burdens and destroy yokes. It’s also for service to others and to operate in any capacity the Lord has called you to. EVERYONE is anointed or gifted in some form. The Anointing on your life is not to be used outside of the Purpose for which God gave it. It is not to be used to compete with others or for selfish gain. The Anointing on your life or someone else is NOT to be worshiped! To be candid with you, the Anointing must be accompanied with Wisdom & Discernment. There I times I missed the mark and fell short because I did not stay prayerful and watchful. The Adversary doesn’t care who you are if he can still find a way to get into your life and trip you up. This is the danger of letting Pride creep into your life. It opens up the door for deception and compromise. The Anointing does not make you immune from attacks, plots and schemes. What keeps you is being submitted to God and staying humble before Him. Always remember that you are a Vessel. Stay in His Presence and Word daily.
