I want to thank All who participated at the Peace & Reconciliation Meeting btwn Edo state Chapter YOYA & The Exco of Elders, Yoruba Community held at Olori of Yoruba House in Edo State- Oba Alhaji R.A Ishola. I want to also shwn appreciatn to the representatv of d Oba of Benin who ensure these moves is facilitated, i say "Oba Gha to okpe e`". The meeting that hv in attendance of other Yoruba Youth Bodies, was presided by d delegate of Oba of Benin, pple frm Gvt and Olori of Yorubain d state. It was a section of declearing ur manifesto, agenda andur relevancies in d state. During d session of cross-examination, it was discover that Edo state chapter of YORUBA YOUTH ASSEMBLY, was d only grp of genuine agenda, viable and clear cut of grp interest. The meeting whch officially makes all yoruba youths and olds of all grades and ages residing in Edo state to be one and further synergize Unity among members, brought out the agreed intent of all pple present. The M.O.U reached- The State YOYA shall act as the youth body to the Yoruba communities in Edo state. (2). The Olori of yoruba in Edo State shall supersees the affairs of both d Elders & Youth. 3) All youth under Yoruba communities shall collapse their structures into the State YOYA. 4). The state YOYA has d power to mediate, interfare and carry out functions within the traditional spectrum of yorubas within & outside govt matters- i.e we shall represent d yorbas across all the L.G in d state. 5). In every meeting to be holding subsequently, a Rep of YOYA shall be present. In the light of these mentioned above, i hereby state categorically, that all yoruba youth Meetings holding outside the tetulage/ leadership of YOYA in the state are illegal and unacceptable. You as a child of Odua is forbidden to associate urself with any of them. There is only One Olori (Oba) of Yoruba in this land of Edos whch is the President/chariman of Yoruba Community. He is well registered and duelly recognise by the Oba of Benin, The Fomer & present state Governor(s), the traditional rulers of other ethnic grp like- Arewa, Igbos, Ijaws, itsekiri, etc. All yoruba meeting & associations as been asked to locate their root & collapse their structures into d aforementioned Associaitons. We are all one yoruba in Edo state and we shud mentain decorium and unity, so that what actually belong to us in this land shall come to us. Edo Yoya- Agbajo owo afi soya. And to our Olori- we say "Kabiesi OoOoh, Ade akpe lori e, bata akpe lese".
