I want to thank everyone for their support and well wishes. The vote for the state FOP president was this morning, and while I was not elected, I got to meet many great people, who I plan to stay in touch with. I also learned from this campaign and will continue to stay actively involved, making sure our Union members always come first. We had an uphill battle from the start; from our state lodge not turning over membership or convention lists making it extremely difficult to reach members, battling for our right to vote since they tried to disqualify our Lodge on a technicality from the floor, not allowing absentee votes, ensuring the convention was out of state, to even misspelling my name on the FOP ballots. In the end we fought on, winning most of these battles. but unfortunately I did not success this time around.
