I want to thank everyone involved today with the 4th annual Mayors Cup 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament! We depend on a ton of help from sponsors, volunteers, referees, and players. This year we successfully added two new divisions to the tournament with a Womens Open Division and a Mens 35+ Division. We had several new players involved that included Alex Sachetti, Michael Pasquarello, Mark Pasquarello, John Hennessy, Ebbie Kodiat, Kevin Munroe, Scott Grimes, Liz Roccoforte, and Ivan Iván Medina to name a few. I want to thank my Co-Director Katie Duffey who did an amazing job in her first year and is a true asset to the Salem Park & Salem Park, Recreation & Community Services program! Congrats to Team Liz for winning the first Womens Open Cup and Team Bryant for winning the first 35+ Mens Cup. Team Crean was fantastic in winning the Open Cup! A special thanks to SSU and Tim Shea for always being a supporter of the tournament and also to Roseann Cooke for stepping in and doing a great job in helping us with the day of operation, and another special thanks to the tournaments Co-Creator Melanie McKinnon for still being involved and directing players our way. Thanks again to anyone who helped us make this happen and we look forward to doing it again next year!!!!!
