I want to thank my mom and dad for teaching us to embrace the differences we see in each other and learn from those differences. Not to go around and say what is wrong with that person because they are different. We spent a lot of time in other countries around this beautiful planet learning new languages, new cultures and about how many different ways to say "hello". It was never about skin color, religion or where you were born when we were growing up! Yes it might have been about who your favorite college or pro football team was but we were still friends even if you rooted for the gators!!! We as a family have made friends all over the world from every religion and every race and I hope that I have passed that on to my kids. Please remember that we are different for a reason and we should celebrate those differences because this planet would be boring if we were all the same!
