I wanted to answer a few questions about the new version of Word Chums. Here we go... 1. The four star upgrade trial that was given to players recently was only supposed to last 2 days. Flappy messed up the programming and because of a bug in the game, we let players keep it a few weeks. If you enjoyed the Four Star trial feature, you can purchase it in the Word Chums shop. ( We are reviewing flappys behavior) 2. If you want to turn off the Holiday theme that we gave everyone as a Free gift. You can go to the shop.. then select themes.. then select sunny. (or if you own any other themes you can select those also) 3. There is new gear in the latest version.. You just cans see it yet. Since it is monthly gear, it will be activated (turned on) in a couple of days. (Note: You wont be able to see or purchase the new gear if you dont download the new version of Word Chums) 4. If players are playing the free version of the game and want to eliminate all of the advertisements from Word Chums... they will have to get the Full (Ad free version)... And yes.. we believe its totally worth it. The full has unlimited Chumbots to play and gets rid of the also. (We are also continually tweaking ads and videos in the free version if you want to keep playing without upgrading, You are welcome to do that also) Ads are supposed to come up every other turn in the Free version. We are trying different ways to make enough revenue to cover the cost of making and running the game. Ultimately if enough people dont think its worth the price of a fancy cup of coffee or less than half the cost of a movie these days...then we have to look for other ways to make a living. Games such as Word Chums take several hundreds of thousands of dollars to make and a similar amount to keep operating. This is the latest round of ad services we are trying. In most cases we only make money when people click the ads and install from them so its a tough business these days. Thanks for your understanding we hope you continue to play and spread the word! 5. You shouldnt lose your progress and games if you upgrade. Just make sure that you log in with the same account. If you have trouble for some reason. Just click the orange feedback logo at the upper right corner of this page. They will help you get it corrected. 6. We are always working to improve Word Chums and make it the great. We appreciate everyone that has purchased gear, themes, hints, bombs, powerups, and the full version of the game. We are always here and welcome your feedback.
