I wanted to give everyone the run down on what is going on with Kenneth Drawhorn. Rhonda Drawhorn is my best friend and I know that they have both been bombarded with lots of questions about Kenneths Dr appointment today. I will start with the fact that Kenneth has been having problems with breathing and in the last few weeks he had gotten bronchitis. When he saw his primary care Dr for the bronchitis she looked in his nose and found that his sinuses looked a little abnormal. (as Rhonda described it looked like hamburger meat), the Primary care Dr decided to send him to an ENT for a further look. Kenneth had nasal cancer over 20 years ago so just to be safe the follow up was scheduled. The initial ENT appointment was last week right before the new year and the ENT found that there was a mass in his sinus, on that visit they performed a biopsy. They diagnosed it as Nasal Pappilloma, which is usually benign and if left untreated can cause lots of issues. Kenneth and Rhonda went this morning for a CT scan prior to the follow up appointment for the biopsy results, there is definitely a mass of tumors in Kenneth nasal passage. The biopsy was inconclusive because they did not get a good tissue sample. He will have to have surgery to have it removed and have a biopsy performed. The surgery will be done through his nasal passage and he may have to have additional surgery depending on the results of the biopsy. There is not yet a date scheduled for the surgery, the Dr will let them know when that is soon. They really appreciate everyones concern and definitely would like to have as many prayers as possible. Right now everything is looking up and Kenneth will be working, he is still fighting bronchitis and his throat is bothering him some, so please keep up through face book so Kenneth can rest his voice.
