I wanted to let the folks in San Tan Valley know about a situation my husband and i are dealing with. The car wash on Golf Club Drive and Hunt Hwy broke the automatic sliding door to our mini van and have been very unprofessional about it. Neither the managers nor owners have even given us a courtesy call regarding this. We dropped our van off working perfect, and then when we went to pick it up they told us they couldnt close the automatic door. My husband got to sit there for 40 minutes trying to figure out what the heck happened and how he was going to drive home with the door wide open. Very defensive attitudes from the car wash employees and manager. No one was even trying to be proactive about it when we arrived to pick it up after the detailing. I took the van to two different mechanics who said the door could have broken due to someone forcing it open which is what i suspect happened. No incident report has been given to us and this happened beginning of July. Ive asked for one twice. Ive left 2 messages which have not been returned. Theyve been closed off and on due to monsoon season so its not been easy for me to walk in although ive tried. I was finally able to walk in and hand the repair estimates to the car wash manager. The manager made copies of the estimates and i was told the owners would be in touch. Still no phone call and its been 2 weeks now. The part their employee broke is a $1,200 part. Im so upset. It seems to me they are ignoring me completely until i disapear?? No offer of anything to repair or satisfy us, or a true apology from the car wash for breaking our van door. We were having it detailed so that we could sell it to another a couple, something we didnt have to do and now this incident has diminished the value of our van. A few lessons ive learned, remember to disengage automatic doors when going to the car wash. And DO NOT use the car wash by McDonalds in Johnson Ranch. Extremely unprofessional and its going to have to escalate to the next level unless I get a phone today or this week with their intentions.
