I wanted to see how my favorite pair of sandals were made. So Mom and I hopped on a matatu (minibus) and took a trip to the local market where they are manufactured. Hand beaded and stitched, this process which the artisans use to decorate the sandals is quite detailed and tedious. I was completely amazed at the precision and quickness -- and now I love my shoes even more! #ThisIsAfrica #KenyanStyle
