I wanted to share a beautiful message with you all that I received tonight from a wonderful human being named Celya Gonzales! Here is proof that sharing these dogs bios saves their lives. THANK YOU Celya for opening your heart & your home to this sweet, deserving girl! Heres the message: Hi there! Last week I saw a post for a senior-dachsund that needed adopting... Itd been forwarded twice when I saw it late one night while scrolling here on FB - I couldnt forget the little dog which was described as a Senior Alert, sweet doxie needs a home to live out the rest of her years... The next day, 7/8/14, after several hours of following leads I connected with the shelter She was at & we were accepted as potential adoptors... We drove down to San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus and picked him up on 7/9/14. Everyone there was wonderful, helpful and full of joy for this adoption, and happily, when they brought him out, he liked us too (my son and I) Several days in, hes got quality food and treats, visited our chiropracter, Dr Don for a much needed spine adjustment so his back-end starts working properly again, went to the SNP|LA San Pedro vet for a healthy-puppy checkup and despite his age, 13, received good bill of health, got his ears cleaned and their blessing for a good long life for us together. Here at home hes lavished with lots of cuddly love, has his pick of sleeping accomodations and enjoys plenty of fresh-air walks around the hood as well as all the lovely attention the neighbors and other passerby generously share - hes a really happy camper! Im glad your Post made it to my Wall, and hope other animals find the same success with their own new furever-homes. Thank you, Celia Gonzales, head-of-household to Eric (my human son) and Cazador, my doxie son (cazador means hunter in spanish, doxies were bred as hunters back-in-the-day).
