I wanted to share a couple of very important things with you. - TopicsExpress

I wanted to share a couple of very important things with you. First, this is a message I received yesterday about the impact of this campaign. My cousin is 52 years old, lived in Winnipeg for 30 years and has never voted. Never felt inspired to do so, always thought her vote didnt matter. Today she went to the advance polls, and voted for you. She told me with tears of pride and joy. Never before has she felt so empowered and feeling as though she mattered. She wants to Thank You!!!” Words cannot tell you how I feel. This is what this campaign is about. Inspiring people. Empowering people. Sending a message to all those people across the City of Winnipeg who think that their voice is never heard, or that they can’t make a difference. You matter. Your vote matters. And the power to deliver real change in this election is in your hands. There was a poll out yesterday, and I will be honest: it was disappointing. People thought we would have picked up more. But my campaign team contacted the pollster and asked how many Aboriginal people were included in the poll. The answer was: We have a small aboriginal sample in this poll. Not statistically valid.” In every campaign, there will be setbacks. But there are still nearly three weeks to go in this campaign. Don’t let anyone tell you that your vote will be wasted. Don’t let anyone tell you your vote won’t count. Don’t let anyone scare you into voting against your own conscience, and your own interests, or your own heart. I have said it before: you are not just supporting the campaign: you are the campaign. Share this message, tell your friends and family, and most important, get as many people to vote as you can. RFO
