I wanted to share this short film with everyone who follows I Was There. No doubt, it depicts what far too many veterans face on returning home from deployment. What struck me about this particular take on PTS is the notion that while the soldiers spouse in this case set a clear ultimatum to her veteran-husband - get help or we are done - that soldier still had to come to that choice on his own. He had to come to his own decision to invest in his own recovery to save himself and his relationship with his family. For me, it recalls the idea that many vets that come to our workshop were voluntold to come by their commanders... But then they have to choose whether to stay, and whether or not to engage with us, their fellow participants, and ultimately themselves... We are delighted that so many do! Id be curious to know how others of you respond to this film. I think its great that it has over 2 million views. Best, BEN PATTON
