I wanted to share this song with you guys today. This song by hillsong united holds a very special place in my heart. I had never heard it before April of this year (though it came out before then). My family was going through a very scary time in our lives. My cousin had disappeared without a trace. In moments like those, crying out to God for help was the only thing I knew to do. I was listening to Spirit 105.9 one morning and this song came on and the words say: And I will call upon Your name And keep my eyes above the waves When oceans rise My soul will rest in Your embrace For I am Yours and You are mine I listened to this song every day until word came that my cousin was found safe and sound. Our family rejoiced! Then in July, my dad went to the hospital in excruciating pain. He was rushed back to emergency surgery to save his life. I sat with my mom and sister in the waiting room, and this song just kept playing in my mind. I remember the first few days he was in the PCU and it was scary, and I would go to the waiting room alone and just listen to this song and cry. My dad lived and I thank God every day! Music, for me, has so much power. It is no coincidence that this song presented itself during times of fear and heartache. God reached down to me through this song and said I am here.
