I wanted to transfer the SIM card in iPhone to the Samsung phone. The normal size SIM card has to be cut to micro size. Three shops wanted to charge $5 for this service. I considered it to be too expensive. Finally, I found a stall that did it for $2. It took only 20 seconds to complete the work with a proper cutter. It seemed to be a common practice to impose a high fee for a simple job. I do understand the plight of the retailers who have to pay high rentals, but it is causing higher cost to be passed to consumers. Things have become very bad in Singapore and will continue to get worse.
