I was Christmas shopping last night and one stop was Walmart. It wasnt as bad as I imagined until I got to the toy section. Some father chuckled and wished me good luck as I entered the black hole. Clearly I looked terrified. Shopping carts smashing into one another, way too many explatives, people fighting over the last toy they just HAD to get for their child. Things were strewn, on the floor, not in their proper place. Im sure I looked like a deer in headlights. I ran for cover in the tool aisle where I thought I saw some awesome measuring spoons. But i was in the tool aisle. ....Still dont know what those tools are used for. My point is, this holiday has become so materialistic it disgusts me. I understand the joy of kids opening presents under the Christmas tree. But can we get a little perspective? This holiday is about so much more. The joy should be in family and in giving more than receiving. Those Wise Men brought gifts to honor the birth of Christ. Whether you are religious or not, this video is so touching. This boy had no sense of entitlement. He loved his simple wooden cutting board. Didnt expect anything else. What follows shows his sweet spirit and parents who have raised him well. Merry Christmas, all ♡♡ love your families. Cherish the time spent together.
