I was Christmas shopping with the kids and my mum yesterday in Bracknell and we stopped in a very busy Cafe Nero for a coffee. While me and Lukas were looking for a table I noticed an old man sat alone and in a wheelchair struggling with his coffee, that was pouring down his face and down his front. I went over and touched him on the arm and asked if he was ok. He looked at me and looked away quickly but didnt respond. I wasnt sure what to do, but got some tissues and cleaned up his face and front. He then slowly unlocked an iPad that was on the table and started communicating with me via an app. He explained that he can no longer walk or talk but communicates via the app. He went from looking scared to his face lighting up and he gave me and Lukas a big grin. He then reached in his bag and handed me a copy of his book, turns out he is a writer. Shortly after he left. It was such a moment and it left me really emotional. You never know who people are and what they are going through - always stop if someone needs help......
