I was a good Samaritan today and it felt pretty darn good! I was the first one to arrive to a stranded motorist on a busy 4 lane road (people drive fast here) and a little old lady was still sitting in her car with 2 tires blown out which resulted in one side of her car gouged in the street. This was in the lane close to the center divide. I stopped and then another gentleman stopped. He decided to walk over and talk with her in getting her out of the car as it was pretty dangerous where it was. I called 911 and made a full report. We walked the little old lady across the busy street where it was safe. I mentioned to the gentleman that it might be a good idea to put the hood up so cars can see something was up. He did and left shortly after that. I stayed and with Diane (the little old lady) and helped to calm her down. She was visibly shaking and very upset but seem to calm down after holding her hand and just talking with her. Once the Fire trucks and police arrived, I told her she was in good hands now and that it would all work out. Yup, I feel pretty good. :-)
