I was a little blown away by the response to my performance last night. Not so much the crowds response (although that was awesome -- who doesnt love applause?) But more, the number of people who came up to me at the break and wanted to hear more about my new program, as a result of hearing me perform. This is the magic that I never expected when I started sharing my work -- the impact one persons vulnerability can have on everyone around them. Good to be reminded of why I do what I do. Thanks again to Susana Mayer for creating, nurturing, and growing The Erotic Literary Salon into such a powerful presence in Philly, and so graciously opening the floor to me, the way she does. (Sharing the video for those who werent there, pardon the poor quality, its not a very video-friendly environment...and oy vey, does it ever get easier to see yourself looking three sizes bigger on camera than you actually are in real life?
