I was able to attend officer Patricks wake tonight for a few moments. I was blown away to see law enforcement from across the country in attendance! There were many hugs and tears shared today in memory of this great man! He will be greatly missed by so many! I was able to talk briefly with his youngest daughter who proudly displayed a temporary tattoo of the mendota heights police badge on her arm. She is a sweet girl and even in her time of mourning was making jokes! I cant believe how amazing the show of support is from our great community and those surrounding it. I sat with my parents in the driveway where they once again had memorial window clings available for people. Cars would pull up or people would walk there after they paid their respects at church. God bless the Patrick family and all those watching over Scott tonight! We will be there tomorrow to honor him as they pass my parents house on the way to his final resting place! We are just a block from church on charlton all are welcome to join us, we will also have window clings available for those who have not been able to get one yet!
