I was about 16 when I left home but it was to take me four more years to wander past the Warren County Line with all of my belongings and no real plan to look back. Im 58 now and have covered a lot of ground, met many interesting people and some real nice horses, dogs and a few notable cats along the way. Im a dreamer by nature .... taken with whimsical visions about some fairly ordinary things. The extraordinary quality to life really says more about our perception .... our willingness to let it take us places we hadnt planned to go. Plans are good .... but turning loose of those plans in the quietest of moments, allowing ourselves to be spurred on by the beauty of this world and the vastness of the stars? Thats where living is found. All of this to take a moment to be grateful for the interwebs that allow us to reach out with a thought, a smile, a song, a memory ... yes, a dream that isnt even fully formed and share that with a kindred soul with no regard to distance or time. Tonight ... wherever you are, drop what youre doing and step out under the full Hunters Moon and think of the souls in your personal tribe who are shining out there somewhere under the same silvery light. Breathe for them as they breathe for you .... and call it one fine prayer.
