I was about to take a walk on a field trip w/our exchange student today & something cool happened. These two butterflies came over & landed near me on my car. I snapped a quick picture then stood very still. One landed briefly on my shoulder then fluttered over to a nearby tree. It was so beautiful I hit video on my iPhone. A few seconds later the while I was filming the other one landed on my finger. My first thought was to my grandparents. I kinda laughed to myself & decided my grandpa would never agree to fly around as a butterfly & decided it had to be Anne Spence & my aunt Sally Spence. I figured if my grandpa was going to come back as anything close it would be a hummingbird. No shit, within 10 seconds a hummingbird flew between my legs. I swear. Now this park, as I discovered a few minutes later when reached the little ranger station / gift shop puts out hummingbird feeders & has a whole thing about them, but still...crazy. Im going to go ahead & believe my grandparents & aunt decided to come say Hello today. Why not?
