I was always impulsive throughout my life and I cannot tell you how many times it got me into trouble. You hurt many people by not thinking about your actions first and I was not immune to this. I have spent much of my life trying to control my emotional side. I have made some progress. Thing is emotional people always assume they are acting out of logic. Never true. If you study 90% of your mistakes you will see reacting not acting was the problem. The other lesson I learned was that people who do not analyze, are not very spiritually mature either. There is some immaturity within the soul or spirit still and this takes time to master maybe many lifetimes. As for today I still make mistakes. I cannot say I have overcomed it all, but made some progress. I have one co-worker who is the opposite of me. He will analyze every word you say. He studies you. This is a deep analytical type of person. By what you say he will determine your characacter. I found this deep. He is very intimidating. But as much as I have found him so, I respect him for this. He is teaching me disciplined values. God will bring you the right people to learn from.
