I was among the 200 women gathered to hear Tina Brown interviewing Leymah Gbowee, who led a womens movement that helped bring an end to civil war in Liberia in 2003. Ms. Leymah Gbowee won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2011. What struck me most was her amazing courage & strength to change her country at the risk of death. Amazing, gives you goose bumps & she was very young at the time. She didnt do it for glory, she was tired of the rape, killings. She said she didnt want to have to answer her children if they asked why she didnt do anything.
