I was around 18 years old that night, I was with Frank Santiago and Salito sitting on the project benches when it hit me........... I looked around at my surroundings, tall brick buildings with gated windows, tall fences around the playgrounds....... police cars patrolling up and down the streets...... People waiting every 2 weeks for their benefits..... the buildings were numbered.... Apartments were really cells...... the park was the yard, the same ones you see in jail....... leases were sentences....... I foresaw the cameras in every building..... They call it housing.... in prison its housing units....... I realized that freedom wasnt free...... that we were in captivity..... most oblivious to what was plain to see....... Under the illusion that we were free....... then one day in a cell..... the answer came to me...... THE ONLY WAY OUT IS IN!!!!!! To go within ur own soul...... Pursue ur passion..... help light other peoples candles......
