I was asked about my thoughts of Memorial Day. I would first have - TopicsExpress

I was asked about my thoughts of Memorial Day. I would first have you know that the origin of Memorial Day was because of So Called Black Slaves. Yes! Blacks begun the Memorial Day Ceremony. I will provide you a website for your beginning of this research. KNOW YOUR HISTORY: Memorial Day was started by former slaves on May, 1, 1865 in Charleston, SC to honor 257 dead Union Soldiers who had been buried in a mass grave in a Confederate prison camp. They dug up the bodies and worked for 2 weeks to give them a proper burial as gratitude for fighting for their freedom. They then held a parade of 10,000 people led by 2,800 Black children where they marched, sang and celebrated. Now this part will not go well with some but I will speak my mind. While yet I believe that the So Called Negro should fight for a country that has NEVER fought for it; I wouldnt advise anyone to do so. The Black Man has no business in a white mans army. Im from America but Im not an American. Being an American citizen doesnt abrogate my Nationality. We are in the land of our enemy as it is written in the bible (Deuteronomy 28 & Leviticus 26). I didnt get here of my own free choice. If I were an American there would be no problem, thered be no need for legislation or civil rights or anything else. So I just try to face the fact as it actually is and come to this understanding as one of the victims of America, one of the victims of Americanism, one of the victims of democracy, one of the victims of a very hypocritical system that is going all over this earth today representing itself as being qualified to tell other people how to run their country when they cant get the dirty things that are going on in their own country straightened out. But for the 39.1 million of us in America who are So Called African American; I see America through the eyes of the victim. I dont see any American dream - I see an American nightmare. I will quote some more of Malcolm X on this one: If violence is wrong in America, violence is wrong abroad. If it is wrong to be violent defending black women and black children and black babies and black men, then it is wrong for America to draft us, and make us violent abroad in defense of her. And if it is right for America to draft us, and teach us how to be violent in defense of her, then it is right for you and me to do whatever is necessary to defend our own people right here in this country. snopes/military/memorialday.asp
