I was asked to pass this along! Seems like a great place to volunteer... Three new volunteer positions for Altar Server Coaches are now open. We are looking for one Altar Server Coach for the 5 PM Mass, one for the 9 AM Mass and one for the 4 PM Mass. The Coach will work with the altar servers at their assigned Mass to help these youth to be become better altar servers and better servants of the Lord. Coaches should arrive at least 20 minutes before Mass to meet the servers, spend a little time observing their performance during Mass and spend about 5 minutes with them after Mass. There may be a few other meetings during the year but I am willing to accommodate scheduling. Why join the ministry? • Help the youth of our parish grow in faith, better understand the Mass and increase their knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church • Help yourself to grow in faith, better understand the Mass and increase your knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church • Serve the parish in a ministry that really needs your help • Get to know some really great kids grow in competency and faith • Get to know some really great parents Worried that you dont know enough. Dont worry. You already know more than many servers and everything a coach needs to know is on the altar server website page (Go to the church website, click Liturgies and then Altar Server).
