I was asked to sponsor Ebola relief efforts in Jamaica. There is no Ebola in Jamaica and even if there was whats that have to do with me. Let me make something clear. Im not rich. I run a small law office with a small staff. I try to do something when I can for the community but I cannot sponsor everyones idea. Im not a bank. Im not a large corporation. Im not a foundation. Im a small business owner trying to meet payroll every month, so theres no money for Ebola. If I sponsor everything and everyone and I have to close my office then whos going to sponsor me? Saying yes to everyone is how people go out of business. Im not rich. Im in the middle class with student loans and a car note just like you. On the road to success you have to learn to say no. I made it 5 years in business because Im not afraid to say no when necessary.
