I was at a fundraiser last Saturday morning when Car Talk is on our local NPR station, I made sure to have Pauls work radio with me so I could listen to Ray honor his brother and partner Tom. But as soon as I heard that belly laugh-with his famous snort, I had to turn it off. I could not be in a public setting for the final send off. So yesterday in the comfort of my own home, just like any Saturday morning, I listened to the podcast and was blown away. The composure and wit that Ray showed was remarkable. Click and Clack have entertained, educated and humbled me for the past 10 years. If you were a guest in my home or in my car-you listened & laughed too! I never had car trouble or marital strife worthy of a call in to the Tappet Brothers-but I often wondered how theyd guess at spelling my name! Tom had a thing for Kathys! My heart aches for Ray, their mom and of course Doug the bongo boy Berman...Prayers and blessings of hope to those affected by Alzheimers disease My home will seem a little empty next Saturday morning at 10...thanks for the laughs! (dont drive like my brother...but please, make it a Dodge Dart if you do!)
