I was awakened this morning to more distressful news coming not from a distant country but the very one I live in. This is no longer an issue of ethnicity, it is a human issue. We are beyond the point of a wrongful death. We have unscabbed a deeper wound. The contemptuous, deep rooted hate that has been festering for years has now resurfaced and is more vengeful than ever. Mike Brown and many others are casualties of a silent war that desires to no longer remain in the shadows. I refuse to accept the concept of ethnic prejudice. I cannot feel at ease moving about my day as if all is well when at this very moment in an American town, we are at civil unrest. I dont know what we can do either. How do you end the hate?
