I was born and raised in Israel. I was 6 years old when tear gas was shot from an Arab village at me and my friends while we were playing in a playground next to my home. I was a kid, I dont remember what age I was when sirens warned us to go to shelter because Katyusha missiles where shot at the north of Israel. We spent hours there. I was just visiting my grandma. I was 9 years old when I was carrying a gas mask to school everyday during the Gulf War. I can still hear the sound of my short breathing while having it on and the smell of the rubber and feel the hair pulled out if it got stuck in the security straps. I was 16 when we had stones thrown from an Arab village at a bus I took to go to work. I was 16 when Daniel was shot, zl. I was 18 when Dan and Uri died by a suicide bomber in Cafe Moment, zl. I was 18 when triple explosions took place in the heart of Jerusalem, killing dozens. I was with friends on the other side of the buildings where the explosions took place. Until this day, I cant stand hearing sirens and loud noises. Its a trauma Ill always carry with me. This is a small part of my experience growing up in a country I love dearly. I wish for our soldiers to be safe. I wish for the good people of Gaza to be safe. I wish for Hamas to be wiped out and with them all the fanatics who CANT LIVE IN PEACE! This is a beautiful, magical world we live in and we have to respect each others faith and beliefs... Just keep it to yourself and dont rub it in my face! Treat others as you wish to be treated. Good Friday and a peaceful weekend to everybody.
