I was both a bit bummed out and a bit disappointed that I had to find out from my older Brother Craig back this past November when I visited that that past October was a gathering of the Antioch High School Football Alumni and it was to honor all of us. If I had shown up I wouldve had my name called out. If I wouldve known about it. There wouldve been no question about it. I wouldve Bart from Berkeley to Antioch for that weekend to attend that. I wouldve worn my Antioch High Letterman Jacket. Ive been wearing that thing for over ten years now. It wouldve been nice to have worn it for a purpose for once. I wouldve invited my parents to come an family friends. I was on J.V. twice and I wasnt a starter but still I was apart of the time and the first time I played I inspired half of my teammates. That is something I will take with me to my death. It wouldve been nice to see some of my fellow Alumni after all these years. They wouldnt have recognized me with after all the weight I have lost. It also wouldve been nice to meet older football Alumni I never met before and younger Alumni like 18,19 and 20 year olds that just joined being alumni and giving them a taste of real Panther Pride Spirit. We all were and are heroes of our hometown. No matter if we were on the team or starting we all were heroes. Everybody knew who we were. No matter what year you played Antioch Football and no matter what year you graduated. Once you became an Antioch High Football player alumni you were one of the boys. It was like the military. It was a brotherhood/sisterhood when you include the girls that played too. Well theres always next year hopefully. I wouldve been there in a heartbeat too. Darn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
