I was browzzing the webernet looking for recipes and noticed that many of them were rated by those that tried them. This does not appear on the surface to be in any way in need of comment until I realized a pattern that made no sense at all and seems to typify our civilization. Almost all of the reviewers were not reviewing the recipe but were reviewing their modifications to the recipe Here are examples taken from Foodnetwork... I changed the cream to skim milk and substituted Greek yogurt for sour cream making it more low fat and it was very watery so I only give it three stars or I added canned mushrooms instead of fresh shiitakes and added crushed tomatoes rather than puree. Would add a little more Paprika next time. Overall I gave this recipe 3 stars cause the meat was overcooked. It makes perfect sense to give a recipe bad reviews cause you did not follow it and ruined it, just as it makes perfect sense to claim you are a patriot but are part of a movement that wants to impose a new form of government on the country. In other words, the Founding Fathers gave us the recipe for America, and we are changing it, not following it and then saying it is broken... OR Jesus gave us the recipe and we are not following it and saying the world is broken... and we think we can fix it by NOT following the recipe.
