I was challenged by both Gretchen Koss and Tara English-Sweeney to name 10 books that I love and that have stuck with me over the years for one reason or another. Ten seems an impossible number, but I followed directions and didnt over-think it too much (tough for me!). I also left off books that impacted the trajectory of my career in publishing and those written by clients as that is a whole other type of list. So heres my 10: Are You There God Its Me Margaret by Judy Blume The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger Beach Music by Pat Conroy Angelas Ashes by Frank McCourt Shes Come Undone by Wally Lamb High Fidelity by Nick Hornby Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini Freedom by Jonathan Franzen Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell I now must nominate 10 more people and they need to tag me so I can see their lists. I nominate: David Walker, Kathy Nolan Ahl, Kim Tripp, Marianne Fitzgerald, Michael Trainer, Pam Chalk Trainer, Jamie Rittenhouse Kopko, Natalie Papailiou, Meredith Phebus Dros and Jennifer Enderlin Blougouras. Have fun flipping through the card catalog in your brain. Seeing others lists has already given me so many books to add to my colossal to be read pile.
