I have several problems with this concert since the challengee can get out of donating as much by getting cold water dumped on them, and it is only for ALS which is s fine charity but it does not have any connection to me or my family. My alternate to this is as follows: If challenged, you should give any amount to want to any charity that means something to you or your family because a terrible disease has affected someone you love. And if you get cold water dumped on you, then you earn the right to challenge other people. I am pledging here and now to go visit my brother Dave Dobrowskis next month and walk for the Light The Night event (lightthenight.org) that raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS.org) to help fight blood cancers. And I am pledging to donate $500 to the cause.
