I was complaining about the Cabrera contract today and Mr. Ill - TopicsExpress

I was complaining about the Cabrera contract today and Mr. Ill butt into your convo and put in my two cents interjects with the hard hitting, deeply intellectual statement its not your money, why do you care? Well, pal, I just met you but I can tell you are borderline genius. I mean you are purchasing the 2 for $1 three year old grey beef jerky next to the cash register-so you must be a frugal fella as well. And being frugal, and a genius you should already know such large contracts cant be paid strictly by TV network deals, or apparel sales. It inevitably- as the Republicans say has a trickle down effect. And who pray tell do you think it trickles down to? The consumer. And the consumer in sports are the fans. There is a reason soggy hot dogs are $5, warm draft beer is $8 and 2 tickets to a weekend premium game could have paid six months of your auto insurance. Baseball needs a salary cap. Fans need to realize we pay the players and Mr. Nosey needs a clue, and a shower. Go Tigers.
