I was cutting the neighbors weeds in the alley behind the hous with a lawn mower today. I picked up an ordinary looking small plastic bag. Inside, as I picked it out of the bag, was a small and decoratively painted wooden birdhouse. A bee was near the entrance. I put it down for a while with the intention of saving the birdhouse. I hoped that the bee would soon fly away. When I was done with the lawnmower, I went back and picked up the birdhouse. I examined it closely and I saw that the bee had layed a honeycomb pattern inside at the roof. Curious world of adaptation. I hung the birdhouse outside and I am wondering if the bee will find it.
