I was disturbed when I heard this morning that the Nation Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in person and Other related offences arrested some children who were hawking in Ibadan yesterday together with their parents. Some of these non governmental agency do surprise me. They are supposed to have gone to the government all level and advice them to make living worthwhile for the masses. What do they expect from a mother who could not make ends meet except the child(ren) hawk? No parent will love his/her ward to result to hawking, but it comes as a last resort. Where it was forbidden in the advance nations, can we compare their provisions for their citizens to ours? They should stop compounding people problem(s) or take up the responsibility of taking care of the children they arrested in all ramifications.
