I was extremely pleased with the new equipment used in yesterdays brew. When the weather cools down a little, it will be even more fun. Im still a little stumped by the high Original Specific Gravity (1.080) of the wort. We did use an additional 2 lbs of wheat malt extract, but the SG noted in the recipe was 1.053 and were significantly above that. Maybe also due to Marc squeezing all of the malt nectar out of the grains. It should bump up the ABV a little, which is good and will add a little more backbone to the beer.
