I was given the nice ripe numbers of 20, 22, and 26...so I averaged the three. Lucky me! THINGS YOU PROBABLY DONT KNOW ABOUT ME... 1. My mother died over 9 years ago and my dad this summer, and something will cause me to think about them EVERY SINGLE DAY. 2. I absolutely was given the best siblings anyone could have. 3. I am petrified of insects. 4. Shortly after I turned 16, I had an accident in my dads car. I hit a bicycle (thank goodness it was unoccupied at the time) that was lying in the opposing lane of traffic. Due to an insignificant moth pestering me (see #3), I was not paying attention and crossed over the line and demolished the bicycle. I had to go to court and plead guilty to reckless driving...at 16. Luckily, that has never occurred again. 5. When I was in the 5th grade, I got into a fight with one of my best friends at the time (Pam Jasay), and pulled her hair so hard, I left a bald spot. Pam and I made up the very next day. I dont even remember what the fight was about. 6. I am still BFFs with someone I met in the fourth grade, Terri Scott Moore. 7. I had the same boyfriend from the 7th grade until the second semester of my freshman year of college. Phil Gardial, whatever happened to you? 8. After #7 and I broke up (on Valentines Day 󾬒), Robin Stuart fixed me up with a blind date the very next weekend (Tommy Calloway), and we dated for the next five years. 9. I moved directly from my college apartment in Fayetteville, Ark. to my first teaching job in Shreveport, La. where I didnt know a soul. I stayed a year and a half. 10. My BFF IN #6 talked me into moving to Mobile after boyfriend #8 and I broke it off...then she proceeds to move back to Arkansas about six years later. 11. I had the lead in my Senior Play. 12. My dad was a railroad engineer. So I am one of the few people who can say they have ever driven a train. 13. My mom and my three sisters are among the best cooks in the world. (No pun intended!) 14. My brother has some of my first attempt at making divinity (circa 1999). It is still in a ziplock bag hanging in his garage. It tasted good but, while the pieces I had dropped were cooling, they also conglomerated into something that looked like silly putty. I have never attempted it since. He thinks its funny. 15. On April15, 1974, my mother and I were amused as we were watching all of the late tax filers on the 10:00 news. So we decided to drive by the post office and take a look at the slackers. Several blocks later, my mom cuts the left turn too short, and we ended up driving a block down the railroad tracks. She also cut too short trying to get off, and we ended up stuck on the tracks, in our pajamas, with a train light shining toward us down the tracks. Needless to say we escaped, but thats an even longer story. Lets just say, 1) wish there were cell phones then, and 2) glad my daddy worked for the railroad. 16. I am a red and white wearing, woo pig sooieing, go hogs going Razorback fan...just like my Dad! 17. My love of music must be inherited. All of my siblings feel about music in the same way. And we ADORE Christmas Music! 18. My mother loved my friends, and vice-versa, but she had a way of telling you EXACTLY what she thought. She was a hoot. 19. I am a dog-lover and have always kept a one. But my last adoptions were the mighty twosome of Splish and Splash. I reluctantly took them because I couldnt tolerate the constant begging and whining of their previous owner. Not naming names here, so Deanna no worry about being discovered from me. 20. I may seem organized to some people, but nothing could be further from the truth. I lose something important DAILY, but thankfully almost always find it. 21. I have been blessed with meeting a small group of strong, funny, intelligent women since moving to Mobile who are my family now...the ones I got to choose. I cannot imagine my life with even one of them missing from it, and I think they feel the same way about me. 22. God has been my constant companion, even when I was unaware, and He has blessed me richly throughout my life. 23. I have fallen in love...at MY age...and suddenly feel the emotions I once felt as a teenager. I have never been so happy! 24. As I have completed this activity, it has become painfully obvious that I like to talk, and if I cant talk, I guess I write. Sorry its a wee bit long-winded. Now if you want to do this, like my post or make a comment, and I promise I will give you a much smaller number.
