I was given the number 12, so here are 12 things you may not know about me... 1. I was given my nickname in 2nd grade by two classmates, and people still call me by this name today. 2. Despite being totally blind, I am still an avid hunter stalking whitetail, turkey, pheasant, waterfowl and bear. 3. I received a hugely successful kidney/pancreas transplant on January 29, 1991. 4. I have had 4 dog guides, all black Labradors, from Leader Dogs for the Blind out of Rochester Michigan. 5. When I was about 9 or 10, my brother, neighbor friend and I were playing nuclear attack with army men and matches on a flattened cardboard box in the middle of a fied, and started the field on fire! 6. I outran a county patrol with my motorcycle when I was in my later teens. 7. I was the one who got caught throwing snowballs at cars after one of those cars happened to be a cop! 8. I worked in the field of diagnostic medicine (ex-ray and ultrasound) before losing my sight in 1986. 9. My favorite rock band of all time is Def Leppard, and my most favorite concert ever attended was Jimmi Buffett x 2! 10. I lived in Columbus Georgia for about 3 years as a kid as my dad was stationed at Fort Benning during the Viet Nam Crisis. 11. I met the rock band Tesla and got to knock a couple back with them backstage! 12. My heart stopped in 1987 and I had an out of body experience.
