I was given the number 6. Like my status and Ill give you a number. 6 things you probably didnt know about me. 1. As a child, at the age of about 4. I hid in the hay mow of our dairy farm with the 2 neighbor kids that were older than me while the babysitter was at our house. My parents were called home, all the neighbors came over, the police, many, many people looking for us. At one point my dad came into the mow to find us, at that point we were scared and stayed hidden. Dad came up an hour later, after many more people were in the search and found us. I said Hi Dad! like it was a big game. I remember the neighbor kid asking his dad to not break his glasses when he got his whippin for causing all the ruckus. My dad didnt spank me even, but I was terrified. 2. I was on the cover of the Detroit free press as a child, sleeping in the hay at the state fair, with one of our show cattle. My family on my Dads and Uncles side was and is known for quality show cattle and horses across the United States. On moms side beauty contests and professional modeling. I still meet people today that were impacted by my parents during the 50s 60s and 70s. 3. I was in a pilot program for gifted children in the 70s. Ive always regretted not going further with my education. In the late 80s I scored the highest in a state of Michigan aptitude test in all categories of anyone they had tested at that point for career placement. In the suggested careers rocket scientist was on the list, although they called it aerospace engineer. I took those interests and became a closet race car engineer. 4. I met the love of my life at the salvage yard, gathering parts and fixing my race car. I believe to my core, if you meet someone who loves you and your passions, you are destined to be together. I cant imagine how life would have went in not meeting her. 5. Im a geek for physics, religion and string theory. It fascinates me thinking on how someday the universe and religion will eventually have a fit that makes sense to everyone. 6. Although I have and use terrible grammar, I have been told that my writing and public speaking can stir people emotionally in ways that they dont normally experience. I eulogised my dad, the hardest speech I ever did and had grown men contact me later and tell me what i had said or written inspired them to be better people. I have a desire to write a book about these types of events to help people face issues in their lives. People contact me regularly (privately) about issues they face with health and personal lives. I hope to use past facebook statuss about challenges as material in this book. I believe we all face challenges and learn, so we can help others in their lifes journey. if you want to play along, like this and Ill give you a number.
